Crazy Blind Person and a Buddhist Monk

Feb 24, 2005 10:50

What would ever possess a blind man to bite his own guide dog?

Also, A Buddhist Monk glued his eyes shut accidently, after having mistaken a tube of glue for eye drops. I'd imagine he's taking it well.

Maybe the blind man used to be a disgruntled postal worker?

As for the monk, I'd say he may have been overdue for the eye surgery. I really need to let my mom see that one. Then again, she might not trust me to do her eye drops anymore.

Aren seems to be doing much better. School tomorrow unless he has any changes.

I'm glad Aren's feeling better. Give him a hug for me?

Most definitely. He's very into hugs. His temp has gone back up again. Not quite as high, but still a temp. He's probably staying home again. It's hard to know what to do. They don't allow enough sick days anymore. I look at it like this. They caught these bugs at school, so bite me if I do the smart thing & care for my kids.

Ray said it's best to keep him home & have the weekend to get well. Dylan is starting to show symptoms, now, too.

I'll give Aren your hugs & thanks for being so sweet. *love & hugs*

Please do keep them home! And bring them to the doctor to get a note, if you can. It does help you deal with the school later.

If they give you grief, tell them to talk to me. I never had less than 1/3 days of a year missed because of illness, and I graduated within 1/5th of a point of the valedictorian. My senior year I was barely there half the time and still completed honors courses.

I'm definitely getting doctor's excuses. Oddly enough, it sounds like you had the same things going on in school that I did. Even into college, I was out more than in. I still managed to keep my 4.0 GPA & made the President's List ( ... )

I know, the insane insistance that sick people socialize is just making so many things worse. I wouldn't be surprised if a case could be made that sick kids in school -> epidemics of flus that wouldn't go around much otherwise -> old people dieing.

I feel like there could be such a case made. You could ask Ray, we've talked about this sort of thing numerous times.

That's one thing I like about you. You tend to have a lot of the same thoughts & feelings that I do about things that don't seem to occur to others. It's so nice to have someone with real intelligence & experience to talk with.

It's so much better than that fake intelligence, isn't it? ;)

Real cute. Sorry about that. I guess
I was comparing to listening to my sister-in-law. She's always talking out of her bum. Everything that comes out of her is to be taken with a whole box of salt, not just a grain!

Sweetie, you really don't need to apologize! I was teasing, I didn't mean to make you feel bad or as if you'd done something wrong. *hugs*

Do you use kosher salt with your SIL? I find it works better than normal table salt.

This time I think I do owe you an apology. I should have put a "ha-ha" behind "real cute". I meant to & forgot. I promise you I was attempting to joke around. Lack of sleep = failed attempt. I knew you were teasing. The term 'fake intelligence' got me, though, because the SIL from H always acts like she's the smartest person since Albert Einstein. If she were smart, she'd stay the heck out of our lives (yeah, she's a troublemaker, liar - the type who can't stand for anyone to be happy ( ... )

I'm glad it was just a misunderstanding. And I know the perils of being overly tired.

I've been on the net for 12 years now. But I do remember the troubles I had starting out, and I do still run into things I don't understand. Don't feel bad about not understanding. Everyone had to start somewhere.

I think the hole is perfectly legal, it's the putting people in it that gets you into trouble. ;)

Thanks for understanding!

I could dig the hole. Putting SIL in would require too much physical labor. One can always dream...;)

Dream that, perchance, she'll fall in and not be noticed?

It couldn't go unnoticed. Everyone's lives would be too peaceful & their phones wouldn't be ringing off the hooks. I guess daydreaming will have to do.

Stupid question #1: What does that little red "x" in the gray box beside "(link)" mean?
