Some things. First of all, I want to assure everyone that my brother is okay. Thanks for all the kind words.
- Started playing Arkham Asylum the other night, since my roommate has it. It's cheaper than buying it myself, but I don't have unlimited access to it. Liking what I've played so far, though.
- Yesterday my PSP came in, so I've been playing a bit of Dissidia on it. Some recommendations on games would be welcome.
- I also finished up watching Torchwood last night. The Children of Earth five-parter was pretty amazing. I can't believe I actually watched it nonstop...
- I decided to watch Farscape, since it has Ben Browder and Claudia Black, who I liked well enough in the last seasons of Stargate SG-1. I went on Youtube and found the first episode... or so I thought.
Okay, so I start watching Farscape, finding the episode called Premiere on Youtube. It starts out as a seemingly normal series pilot, with all the things I was expecting. The main character, astronaut, is trying to do this flight test for NASA and gets caught in an electrical storm, where he's going to wake up in a completely foreign place like... a normal hospital? I was a little shocked when the main character tackled his father, calling him an alien, and started making references to his life in another galaxy. It was weird, but I cautiously accepted it at being just a very unusual pilot where the writers were cleverly introducing us to the characters while avoiding having to do the 'fish out of water' type plot that would come with an earth man stuck in space. It was weird, but I was going with it.
Things became increasingly bizarre in the episode and events from the past are constantly referred to and I began to wonder if this really WAS the pilot or if this was just the weirdest pilot ever. So while still watching, I pop over to Wikipedia and am given a very different synopsis for the pilot episode than what I'm watching. Still, I'm involved in the story, so I keep watching. I finally make it to the final part of the series and the main character suddenly starts having flashes of all the crazy things that have been happening to him... and randomly, one of them is a clip from the Super Mario Bros. show, "That's Mr. Mama Luigi to you!"
I watched the rest of the ending dumbfounded. The episode is labeled for the premiere episode, yet clearly isn't. And the description for Part 5 of the clip is: "After SG-1 destroys a Lucian Alliance kassa shipment near the planet Rolan, the Lucian Alliance places a bounty on all of the members of the team, threatening national security and lives. Meanwhile, Mitchell returns to his hometown for a high school reunion, accompanied by Vala... and bounty hunters hot on their trail."
