Arkansas Idol
Hmmm....where to begin? Recorded one song with Cecil the Cat, we recorded one song and its called Want Some Candy. Don't know how to put it here but I will figure it out.
Groovement, which is Trey's other band "upbeat funky loungey type music" is coming together. They gave me music to learn/sing to. Studio is sick, pictures coming later.
I tried out for Arkansas Idol. I won. They are flying me to Austin, paying for the hotel, i get to skip the line and try out in front of the producers. I am oober excited because this has been my dream for a long time. When I was little I sang in the church choir then I went to jr high and high school sang the whole time. When I went to college I decided I needed a new skill, so I did architecture. That shit didn't work. So i worked so many full time jobs. Cooking, cleaning, serving, manufacturing all the wrong ing's. when all along I should've been singing.
So now Im going to Austin on Tuesday. Again I am super excited. I am going to take lots of pictures, post videos and do a live interview on 101.9. If youre reading this please send all your positive thoughts my way.
In other news, Ive become much more focused and centered in the past months. Springtime was rough for me but summer has been hot and heavy. The Naturals stadium has been workin out well. Its making me fat..er. National anthems have dwindled until next sports season, but there is no need for national anthems for football season.
Since me and momma have been on the outs, me and the rest of this family "Kandice, Gail, Toofer, Bridget, Keishad, etc" has grown exponentially. Im feeling really good about where I'm at right now. Ive learned to mend broken relationships. Ive learned a better way to create new relationships. It has helped me in my quest to master networking.
I feel like this is the point in my life that has been coming for a long time. I feel like I've been in this town so long that its time for me to move on. Whether I move on and come back is still to be decided but if I get the chance to make it to American idol I will give all that I have to give.
This is for my family. This is for my friends. This is for me.
