What!? Oh, you wouldn't believe it, just got another one in my inbox...49 then...they don't stop!
The annoying thing, is only about 4 people/applications atm sound remotely interesting.
Still...if only I had a secretary - "Deal with it, secretary, deal with it!"....as it is, I just read through half of these myself, dismayed. Out of 49, I think only a handful actually have their own cameras....
Some of them are also, like a single pathetic paragraph asking me to get in touch for more info. No, I'm sorry, I'm not doing that with all 49...if you can't say something to make yourself stand out, I'm just gonna forget you.....bye-bye!
It's a real eye opener to what employers must have to go through, and believe you me, it's given me ideas for how to present my own CV in the future...
But, still, feels weird to be in this position of choosing someone, and have people compete for that choice...I'm so used to begging for help, and dragging in friends to co-operate, who moan, or think they know better than me.
Mustn't let this power of selection go to my head, like ego-mania or something....bwoarhahaha....
If anyone else is interested, feel free to apply, because despite the overwhelming response, only three or four people interest me so far. Looking for a camera person to help do some filming at a games trade show. It will be manic. Lots of walking, nice angular shots wanted, all funky like, and if you have your own PD150/PD170 DVCAM or better, then give us a head's up.
