Convey Crudely with Cliche

Dec 29, 2006 22:45

I would wait an eternity for Bev*.....Prime.
She's worth it**....Lorreal.

Expression....cliche.***

What the stars mean:

*=[Original Quote: "I would have waited an eternity for this" - Megatron, about to kill Prime in Transformers: The Movie]
**=[Original Quote: "Because I'm worth it" - Shampoo Adverts, Lorreal]
*** = Genuine expression of love for Bev...summed up with cliched quotes from commercials and pop culture....like articulating something beautiful by the crudest means. Is this what expression for a degenerative culture that replaces the parent with the TV has become?
Or am I a master of codes and conventions, manipulating them to convey my own deep semantics?
Is my love tainted with commercialism? Or am I trying to bring in some form of media analysis as a distraction because I feel bullied away from my true love? And under peer pressure to look like I'm over her, when I know I will love her forever more?

television, bev
