But yeah, on 9/8/66 "The Cage" was broadcast for the first time. It gave people a glimpse at what the future could be like when Americans, Russians, Scots and heck even Canadians and Australians stopped warring with each other and treated one another like brothers. It shocked people with the first inter-racial kiss on TV. It never got around to talking about gay people but ya know, George Takei eventually came out. Anyways. I watch at least one ep of some series every day, and I think it really helped get people interested in the sciences.

I just wish there was a series on so they could have a special episode like DS9 did for the 30th. Also, I wish America didn't decide they wanted to reject the ways of logic and start legislating based on their interpretation of Holy Texts.
