finally, finally! after my 2 p.m. american lit final, i'm through with this semester. je me suis débrouille. barely. it will feel really, REALLY good to have a clean end to all of this and to start fresh. i plan on fully enjoying that first post-semester beer this afternoon, even if i'm drinking alone it will be glorious. it's nice to see the light at the end of the tunnel. today in the mail i got my check from "working" in the writing center, $400 very much appreciated. tomorrow i'm going home for a little 2 day visit to work for my mom and make some extra cash. i guess i will stop in macon and look for a fancy ball gown. why do i have the sneaking suspicion that i will just buy a long black dress and not surprise anyone? i'm excited about my secret santa pal (and the subsequent party), free time for reading, cooking, and watching all sorts of nonsense, and time for painting furniture, because that's something i want to do over the break. i'm excited that this is almost done.
