(no subject)
thoughts from the day:
- i really like The Owls' album Daughters and Suns and Snoop Dogg's new song, Sexual Eruption. i don't know what is going on with me and hip-hop lately, but it's good.
-Blackbird is maybe not the best place to study, especially if there is a parade going on, but i did get a lot of work done today.
-flat tires only come at inopportune times.
-even being an English major, i still really enjoy reading. that makes me glad.
-i miss H&M. they had such stylish coats last winter (not that we need them, this is the most un-December weather ever!) but still, H&M, come to Atlanta quickly!
so yes, i got a flat tire today, i guess. i mean, we discovered it on the way home tonight but i have no idea when i actually inflicted this upon my poor car. calling my mother tomorrow will not be pleasant at all. i'm considering taking out a student loan if my mom continues to be hard on me about money. i filled out an application for on-campus jobs, and i think that the one in web-related resources sounds the most interesting. it sounds like a lot of basic office work and some stuff involving Macs. i would like that. i like the idea of a library job but with all of my friends having already been there and then quit, it's less appealing. hopefully i am hireable on campus. hopefully i will do well on my take-home exams. hopefully, hopefully. i feel like baking Christmas cookies.
i'm counting down this week & then the month so...enthusiastically. i'm ready for a fresh academic start and free time for reading some books i'm excited about (ahem, Lawrence Durrell...you melt my heart).
