First the shiny...
Ooohhh... shiny... pictures and text and icons and fonts and all those things your computer is supposed to show you. In proper color and size and all that. Yep, my new monitor came in a bit early. It's all set up. Oh and ooohhh, big! I no longer need my glasses to read my email or f'list. :) Vidding on this is gonna rock!
Now the floor.
I want it known from the outset that the very first thing I said when I walked in was, "They did warn you that I'm the biggest wimp in the world, right?" It was the very first thing I said.
Then they showed me the little tine-y things that they were going to assault me with and I said, "oh, those don't look too bad. I'll be fine."
Not so much with that.
They didn't tell me the part about digging them into my arm like they were drilling for oil! Holy shit!
So they did the first set - 16 at a time - 8 on each arm. I start to feel a little light. I say as much and they give me a break.
They do the second set and all I remember is saying, "No... that's not good. I feel pretty awful." The nurse doing the test, got the other nurse and I think I tried to stand up because they were going to walk me into the other room where there was a table for me to lay on, but I guess that didn't work, because the next thing I knew I was on the floor right in front of my chair and someone had gotten the doctor and she was checking my blood pressure and pulse. I think it's bad that I heard her say, "Her pulse is 72 now. I think the reason I couldn't get one before was because she was so cold and clammy." She couldn't get a pulse on me??? After a while she asked me if I wanted to get up and I figured that I was supposed to say yes, so I did. The nurses thought otherwise and told the doc to let me stay where I was for my 20 minutes. The upshot was, the doc didn't have to catch me the first time. :O
So anyway, I'm officially allergic to weeds, cats, mold and dust and dustmites. I have to get all this crap to wrap up my bedding (thought that's going to wait until I get my new bed in a few weeks, since I'll be getting a big girl bed, so I'll need the new size box spring and mattress wraps. I need to do a massive spring clean of both my house and my classroom. And I need drugs. I stay on the Singulair for asthma and allergies, go on Allegra (not the Allegra-D I was on, we think that explains the godawful insomnia bout of a few weeks ago and why I'm sleeping so much better this week) as needed and I got admonished once again to actually USE my Serevent regularly.
Hopefully after all this, I'll get a handle on this health-hell.
And now... off to read the past week's worth of LJ posts that I couldn't squint at at the old monitor...
