Were the chips semi-sweet? Would unsweetened work better you think? Did you make sure to use Guittard - the very best chip chocolate to walk the Earth??? (and yes, the chips do sprout little legs and walk around, do Broadway shows, etc.)

I used semi-sweet. The recipe didn't specify a certain kind. Yes, unsweetened probably would make a difference. Worth another try anyway.

And, I"m cheap so I use Nestle (since it was mostly just for me).
