I finally made it to Berlin. What an ordeal. I missed my flight on Christmas night b/c my dumb brother sat around for 40 minutes before taking me home from our family's Christmas Dinner.
And I heard myself say "Drive yourself!" when my brother offered me a ride. When I rely on other people, I lose. When I only rely on myself, I'm fine.
There was no Christmas miracle and the rebooking cost me $250.
The flight out of Chicago was delayed 2 hours due to fog, forcing me to "hit the ground running" across Heathrow with about a 35lbs encumbrance. I'm glad I'm a good sprinter. I just barely made my flight to Berlin.
No jetlag whatsoever. We stayed up until 5 am drinking and watching South Park. Today we are going to be tourists. I've been to Berlin probably about 6x and I've never gone site-seeing.
Monday we are going to Dunker Club.
I love having a lap top. I don't know why I didn't get one before.
My Xmas present(s) to myself were a Dell Studio 17, a Blackberry 7800g, and a Canon A2000IS 10.0mpixel camera. I got SLS the A1000IS for her b-day and it took such great night photos, I bought the next one up for myself. It totally kicks my old fuji's ass in that dept. I am now living in the 21st century.
Over & Out,
