Celebrated my birthday by going to a live TV show taping of a political comedy show with Hal Sparks and John Fugelsang, as well as other comedians. I ended up laughing so hard I cried -- a great way to enter my new year of life.

florahart has written the hilarious NWS tiny-fic Tweet -- I strongly suggest Star Trek fans go read it, since to not avail oneself of this opportunity for quick amusement would be highly illogical.

Went to see "Star Trek" this evening and was pleasantly surprised to find it wasn't the train wreck I expected it to be. This alternate-universe Trek movie worked better than I thought, keeping much of the spirit of The Original Series while adding more modern whiz-bang action ( Read more... )

It's 11 degrees Fahrenheit now, soon to be dipping to an anticipated low of 8 degrees. I'm hibernating under a purring blanket of silver and gold, watching online episodes of "The Prisoner" in tribute to the now-deceased star of the show, Patrick McGoohan.

Spring can't get here soon enough, as far as I'm concerned.
