Native Sinophones love it when laowai do this stuff.

Chinese nationals get a kick out of laowai [foreigner(s)] making them stuff involving their language. God, they love it. Which is why I got a co-worker to write down stuff like this for me.

You can see where it says 年年有餘 (pinyin: nián nián yǒu yú) at the bottom (ahem).

Much to my chagrin, Lonely Planet's Mandarin phrase book doesn't have "Get Well Soon" anywhere in it. (Then again, this is the same phrase book that insists "Happy New Year" is 新年好 instead of 新年快樂...) Good job the same co-worker wrote that down for me as well. XD Quite useful information, if you spend most of your time around Sinophones.

This will make sense if you read Japanese.

...I. Love. My. Camera.

Pity the haematite effect I used on paper doesn't translate well in recorded images, but at least the design aesthetic does...

Scan of the inside:

Usually my handwriting isn't that crooked. I promise.

This is proof, if you needed any more of it, that I have to turn damn near everything into some academic venture.
