I'll actually write a more indepth one than what I had on friday now.
So after that appointmet I went into the voice therapist, my doctor came in and we discussed would would be the best plan of action. He said he had been thinking about it after I left on Wednesday and mentioned that there was another procedure he'd never done but people in Japan have done it and it seems to work. Basically, it's like a botox injection to the vocal chords (i think) but with steroids.
He explained that as opposed to surgery i'd be able to talk immediately, no vocal rest(like absolutely NO talking) and it would only take 10-15 mins to do. Or I could do surgery, have to be on complete vocal rest for like a week or two and actually have to spend time in the hospital.
Mom made me do it.
I hate needles.
First, he gave me a shot in the throat to numb my throat. Then after it was numb (the area raised like a misquito bite and was white. weird) and then he injected steroids into each side of the vocal chords. 3 shots into my neck, 2 of which went all the way to the chords. Hurt like a bitch. I could actually feel this horrible shock of pain in my inner ears when he did the injections. Not one of the better doctor appointments I've been to.
Anyway, hopefully within a month my vocal chords may be back to normal..and..I guess it's worth it.
No fun, though.
Oh..and that party previously mentioned will infact be on Friday night. (april 1st. no joke)
If you'll be around and are a good friend, message or call me and I'll give you the details. I hope to see everyone!
xoxo
