Shock of shocks ... I'm writing again!
If you'd asked me a year ago if I would ever write another piece of fanfiction my honest answer would have been no. Between HBP throwing me for a loop, a total lack of motivation and, let's face it, a complete dearth of creativity, I thought I was done as a writer.
But, low and behold, I've just finished Chapter 41 of The Season. It took me way too long to write and it ain't brilliant, but that's my first completed chapter since May 16, 2005.
Before I pat myself on the back, though, I should point out that it's really
ladychi's fault that I'm writing again (and since she's probably the only one who will ever read this, I have no qualms about saying that). If it weren't for her needling over at
potterficweekly, I wouldn't have gotten started.
Well, now the challenge is to keep myself going, and that's likely to be even harder. But one step at a time, I suppose.
