Summary: Hugo's overheating and going slightly crazy from constant noise.

Hugo was warm. He was beyond warm, really. He was cooking in his heavy layers, which had been so useful in the French winter. Jackets over sweaters over shirts, thick suspenders and wool trousers stuffed into heavy combat boots, inside which his feet were cushioned by even thicker wool socks. He was sweating, short of breath, and the constant, irrepressible, unignorable buzzing did nothing for his peace of mind. Sweat dripped into his eyes as he leaned on the wall of the hallway, sliding down to sit heavily, gun slipped off his shoulders and set by his side.
Hugo knew he needed rest, but he couldn't sleep lke this; he started pulling layers off, flinging them into a pile until he sat in his trousers, undershirt, and socks. He was somewhat cooler, utterlly unequipped, vulnerable, and the damned buzzing still wouldn't stop.
"Verdammit! Be quiet!"
