Minsc Joins The Party! [Complete]

Summary: Minsc arrives, as does an unconscious Farinelli; a panicked Chopper arrives to patch her up as best he can.

No running around too much, or lifting anything too heavy.... Anna nodded in response, though it made her headache worse. She could probably handle that, right? Even riding a horse didn't seem to fall under either of those. She wondered if that meant no magic.... Well, she'd do what she had to do, if she needed to defend herself. After all, if that arrow was something from the Dark Monks.... Well, they could all very well be in deep trouble, and she wouldn't have much time to lay around in bed and recover. That meant she would need to recover as quickly as possible, and prepare as well as she could; there would be no time to waste

Chopper knew he had a 'strange' way of reacting to comments, but no one had ever reacted like Minsc, and he wasn't even the one that had complimented him! Chopper immediately went from an enthusiastic dance to shaking on his tiny hooves. Just what was he supposed to do now? He could never explain himself to the big man - even the tiny deer didn't know why he did what he did. It didn't seem like he'd find anything he said satisfactory anyways. Was he going to be stuck in a fight? No, they couldn't! Not with the injured woman, and monsters to worry about, and so many other more important things... this wasn't how the night was supposed to go

Evidently, Anna had Minsc's personality down one hundred percent. Looking a little surprised as the woman put her bandaged hand over his own, he listened to her words with a frown of concentration. He found her words soothing, reassuring... she was not offended? No, it seemed not! She even seemed to have a good explanation for why he acted in such a funny way, even though it went over his head a little bit. That's okay, though; Boo seemed to have understood, at least

Anna smiled as well, for her part in relief. The poor dear--er, deer--was crying and shaking, which was probably the obvious thing such a tiny creature would do when faced with a big, brawny menace with anger issues. Still, it had been anger spurred by honor, and when the wounded honor was on another's behalf, it was thankfully easier to smooth over ruffled feathers. "Thank you; I hope I don't distress Boo too much."

She let go of his hand, forcing herself to remain steady and wracked her brain to try and come up with appropriate medieval etiquette; she'd have to introduce herself the way she had in Erde, there was just no other way with this one. Should she shake hands? Bow? ....No, somehow, both of those felt too masculine. (Dammit.) She didn't have a skirt, but.... Anna curtsied, as best she could. "I am the Lady Anna, a sorceress from the mist worlds. It is a pleasure to meet you both."

Minsc seemed placated now, and even friendly towards the deer once more! Whatever magic the woman had worked, it had done it's job well, and Chopper raised a tiny arm to wipe the tears from his face. He was a little ashamed of himself, trembling at the first sign of danger. He was a brave pirate now, and he could face anything! To get through the rest of the night, Chopper would have to remind himself of that fact constantly.

"R-right..." He sniffled, steeling himself a putting on a face of courage. "Right! We need to find her a bed!" He nodded in agreement with Minsc as introductions began. Ah, so his patient's name was Anna! It was a pretty name, a good one for such a nice lady. He was glad to have learned it - the doctor would feel odd calling her 'lady' or 'you' all the time. And now, it was his turn to introduce himself. He decided to keep it brief. The less he said in front of his very large companion, the better things seemed to go.

"I'm Chopper, a... uh... doctor from the high seas!"

"A sorceress? From the mist worlds?" Minsc's eyes widened a bit as Anna introduced herself. "Then... you are a witch? Like Dynaheir? This is GREAT news!" he proclaimed enthusiastically. "Rest assured, Anna, that this ranger shall protect you as if it were you that Minsc has sworn the dajemma to! With your magic, my might, and Chopper's... uh..." Minsc was at a loss for words, apparently trying to make an alliteration with their appropriate skills.

Whether or not others chipped in with suggestions, however, Minsc was raring to go. "Anyway! Minsc shall keep his sword ready to ward off evil, while little deer pirate leads us and witch Anna follows! That will be a sound arrangement, yes? Let us go now, and see our charge to safety!"
