Minsc Joins The Party! [Complete]
Characters: Minsc and Boo! (and Farinelli, and Tony Tony Chopper)
Setting: Entrance Room
Time: Night 002
Summary: Minsc arrives, as does an unconscious Farinelli; a panicked Chopper arrives to patch her up as best he can.
Warnings: Contains Minsc and his fiery temper.
A scream, a heavy crash, and Minsc had arrived through time and space into the mysterious Dollsyhouse mansion, the weight of his armor adding to the impact of the fall. It was jarring enough to wake Boo, who scampered across the back of his scale mail, crawling up to sniff Minsc's right ear. Feeling the tickling whiskers, the large man groaned. "I am all right, Boo," he spoke in his thick Rashemen accent. "Just a big fall. Funny, though, this doesn't feel like the forest floor."
He got to his feet slowly, the weight of exhaustion on him. A moment ago he was looking for creatures in the Wood of Sharp Teeth, and now what? He was in a house! A nice-looking expensive house to be exact! Perhaps a lord's manor of some sort? And how had he gotten here in the first place? Perhaps a wizard had transported him here.
"Something tells me we are not in the woods anymore, Boo!" he announced, alert now and getting to his feet. "We have been taken to a rich house, but for what purpose I am unsure! Do you see anyone, Boo?" The hamster squeaked a noncommittal reply. Turning around, the barbarian ranger noticed the door, presumably the exit from this place. Trying the doorknob yielded nothing, however - the door was locked, which only added to Minsc's growing suspicions. "Locked? That is pretty sneaky, bringing us here and then locking us in! It is like a cage for hamsters, only human-sized instead!
He made up his mind then and there, drawing his sword. "Well, Minsc is not a man to be caged!" He figured that if the wizard or lord of this place was rich enough to own this house, he could probably replace the doors with minimal fuss. And at any case, Dynaheir needed him, and it was rude to keep people inside houses without telling them why!
And so, with a howl of anger, Minsc began whaling at the door with his sword, loud thunking noises made as the sharp steel had no effect on the ornate wood whatsoever.
