Normally, Break would have objected to the idea that magic can't be explained; it did have its own rules, but it held fast to them and acted in predictable ways. Even the house. He hadn't meant it was inexplicable, exactly. He had meant the rooms probably could be explained, but it would be inefficient. Better to find the force behind it all, which might get them out and would also explain these minor oddities. But it wasn't worth arguing right now, particularly when the rules of reality in general seemed to be taking a vacation.

"Apparently," he said, smiling absently at the ceiling. He released the rabbit-- a present for Luffy, perhaps, since he seemed so interested. "Sometimes."

Only sometimes. It would be nice if he could produce some tea from his hat... a good blend with some honey would do them both wonders. But what he did was just common street magic, which th Hatter helped him with. Unfortunately the Hatter only helped him when it found the tricks amusing, and it didn't particularly care about the well-being of its contractor most of the time. The kitchen was too far, and Watanuki had come for the sunrise. Perhaps after it was over? Sudden chill, like a bucket of ice-water dumped over his head-- not real. Still unpleasant. He sat up, folding his knees to his chest and pulling the blanket closer around himself.

"The list. Do you have a copy?" If they were well enough to get down here for a sunrise, they were well enough to make some progress.
