Characters: Kairi, Patchouli.
Setting: Small Library.
Time: Afternoon, Day 11.
Summary: Kairi meets Patchouli in the library again, but this time, it's after Patchouli's personality-altering experiment.
Warnings: Not sure yet. Knowing these two, though, probably some girl/girl stuff.
After the house's vanishing act, Kairi decided to find everything should could on haunted houses.
She quickly found out during the first fifteen minutes of her research, however, that the library was comprised of fiction-only. There were no documentaries or any history on haunted houses. Not only that, but there was nothing on any other real-life events, places, or people. Everything here was made up; or, perhaps, Acedia simply had no history. It was highly plausible; she doubted anyone had ever lived freely on this world, or whatever it was. The best this library probably had were stories based on true events, but too warped by the author's creative license to even be considered informative.
Down on her knees, she rummaged through the lower shelves, an index finger brushing against the backings of the books, reading the vertical titles. She just wanted some kind of proof that other houses had disappeared before, and . . . what had happened. Since the time she was here, that was by far the strangest thing that had so far occurred. She was wondering if the end was nearing - and, now that the house had changed, that they'd never have another chance to get out. Not that getting out before had done anything but cause them starvation and thirst.
The girl plucked out a book, studying it carefully. On the back it told of a hotel room that constantly changed, and was supposedly haunted. She shrugged, flipping to the page of the story - 1408 - and dug her nose into it, beginning to skim through the words.
