Misty hadn't felt this sick in a long while. Sure, there had been bouts of hunger while traveling with Ash, especially during her voyages between the Orange Islands with Tracy. None of it compared to this, though. She felt weak and tired, but the rain was relentless. Her cold made it even worse. She had avoided catching one for a while by hiding beneath Starmie, but she had to return her Pokemon. With nothing to eat, the safest place for them was in their Pokeballs. Even Togepi wasn't out anymore, and the loneliness was getting to her as well. She had fished out her pink rain jacket from her bag, but even with the hood up, it wasn't helping her any. She sneezed as she aimlessly wandered around, trying to keep her legs from going numb.
That's when she saw the orchard and the hellhounds. There, in the center of the island, was what she, Togepi, Starmie, and Goldeen needed most. She immediately reached into her bag for her Pokeballs. The hellhounds were hideous, but she thought she was far enough away to avoid being attacked. She had to think of the perfect strategy. She noticed that they were dogs, and thus they were likely very quick. Starmie was probably just as fast, and Goldeen would be fast enough to help in the rain. "Goldeen...can use Aqua Ring to keep her energy up...and maybe...she can get close enough with her horn...Starmie...has recover and psychic. She can keep those weird monsters away."
She certainly hoped so. Togepi's life depended on it. She had to get the baby Pokemon some food. She turned over her shoulder and yelled to the residents who were closest. "Listen up! We have to get to that orchard!" Turning back to face the hellhounds, she threw out her two Pokeballs. "I choose you! Starmie! Goldeen! Give it your best!"
A large, horned goldfish and giant purple starfish materialized out of nowhere.
"Goldeen, Goldeen..."
"Hyaok!"
Misty moved backwards, getting ready for the battle. "Okay...ready...go! Goldeen! Use Aqua Ring! Starmie! Use barrier to keep your defense up!" The goldfish leaped into the air and surrounded herself with a ring of water to keep her energy up. Starmie flew forward at an angle, swooping around randomly as its gem glowed and emmited a barrier in front of it.
She looked over her shoulder. She hoped some sort of help was coming her way.
