Setting: Grand room
Time: Day 010
Summary: Mio and Kaoru meet for the first time since Kaoru's mauling and subsequent death. Awkward ensues.

Kaoru's mind was racing as he made his way through the grand room. There was so much he needed to do, so much he needed to say, so much that had to happen to make things right again. First was Hikaru. God, Hikaru. What was he thinking right now? Where was he? Knowing his brother, he had probably withdrawn even more - crawled back inside their carefully guarded world and locked all the doors, refusing to let anything, not even a stray ray of sunlight, penetrate the defenses the worked so hard to build. Together.
Hikaru was alone. Alone and in worse shape than he was. At least he had the luxury of still believing his twin to be alive, of knowing that he was still there and breathing and real and solid. But Hikaru...Hikaru had probably heard that he had died and...
He had to find him.
And then there was Mio. She...she was a whole other story. How was he supposed to explain himself? Should he even bother explaining himself? Maybe he had been right, maybe he had the right to be angry at her. In a lot of ways he felt like he should, but...but...it just...something had seemed so wrong.
Kaoru would find them both. He would fix this. He would be the pillar for his brother to lean against - he would be there for him like he always had been. And Mio...
