Characters: Mio Amakura, the Voice
Setting: The Mother's Study
Time: Night 007, while Stella's keeping Zetsu from dying.
Summary: Mio's sense of time still fails and continues to get her into trouble, at least the study isn't haunted.
Warnings: None?

Mio had been unfortunate enough to be in the catacombs when night had fallen, giving the filing cabinet a look as she hadn't done since she'd first visited the room with Zetsu a few days ago. It had been locked, as was to be expected, but the room's being underground might have obscured night's falling entirely were it not for the sounds of construction. Even aware of what that signified, she hadn't expected to see the what looked like patients that been given up n and discarded into the hallway mid-surgery. They could have have passed for residents of the house, were it not for the way they were torn open, organs visible and even hanging out for some.

The morgue, unsettling as it was, had seemed like the more favorable option at the time. It had been tempting to simply close the door, to hide away and hope nothing from the outside would come in and get her or that the bodies in the freezing chambers wouldn't suddenly crawl out, to quietly wait until night had passed, but...somehow, after several moments of staring at the sickening sight and fighting down the desire to either throw up or start screaming, she'd managed to force herself into the hallway and past the surgery victims. They didn't attack and although she was certain that at least one of them were following her, they stopped before she reached the study.

Shaken as she was by the sight, she could at least be thankful for that. She shivered a she swept through the study, looking around for anything that might be threatening and holding her camera close. She hadn't wanted to pass through the hallways and seeing nothing threatening in the room, found herself not wanting to leave. She didn't want to see anymore monsters or surgery victims or...anything. She didn't want to have to deal with those things alone. She wanted Zetsu to be here with her or...or Mayu. Selfish as it was, at times like this she almost wished she had her twin here to keep her stable. Neither were an option, however - Mayu was not here and Zetsu...

She had to get back to him. That's why she'd abandoned the illusion of a safe place she'd found in the morgue and that's why she would abandon the false safety she was finding in the quiet little study. She needed to make sure that he was still there, that he wasn't hurt, that nothing had happened to him. She needed to get back to him. Even if he hadn't woken up yet...she needed to see that he was still there. She needed to make sure that nothing had happened in her absence, that even though she'd left for a little while, even though it was night, he was still there. The thought that something happening happened to him was overwhelming, even more terrifying than what the monsters and ghosts and so afraid or not she began to sweep through the study, past the nursery's closed (hadn't it been opened when she'd passed through here before...?) door.
