The voice wasn't very loud, but it was clearly there, and carried just far enough to be heard from inside the study, or just outside the door in the hall. It was soft and feminine, contrite--apologetic. Always apologetic. The words spilled out from behind the locked Nursery door, a rhythmic litany of transgressions and regret, apologies and begging for forgiveness. Mio might have found it rather familiar. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry...."

Mio drew in a sharp breath as she heard the voice, jumping a little and starting to raise the camera even as she turned to the source before letting it drop. She did recognize the voice as being from the second night. Young, but not quite childlike, and apologetic. It was enough to get her to momentarily stop, looking from one door to the other uneasily. "It's you..." She offered softly, once again looking between the two doors before trying to knob with one trembling hand, only to find it locked. She needed to bet back to Zetsu, but she couldn't ignore the voice, either. She would only be here a minute. Just a minute. Then she would go back to the fairy bedroom and make sure he was okay. It would be fine. He would be fine. He had to be...

The voice stopped apologizing as Mio tried the doorknob, locked as it obviously was. It--she?--hesitated for a moment, before speaking again, soft and unhappy, but offering her advice surprisingly maturely. "Don't let the hands in the hall touch you."

"...the hands...?" Mio repeated, shivering a little as she recalled the ethereal hands in All God's Village. Appearing outside of a window or well, reaching, grasping at anything that might get too close, the sunken woman who had been pulled under by the arms of the dead. They had been in the greenhouse before, and now in the hallways? That seemed like the most reasonable assumption. She drew her hand away from the knob as she considered it, placing it on the door itself and allowing herself to start to lean towards it just a little. She wished the woman didn't sound so unhappy, but that advice...if she knew what creatures were lurking about tonight, then maybe... "...um...is...is there anything in the bedroom with fairies painted on the walls?"

"They'll grab you." The voice told Mio, in response to her question. There was a brief pause as Mio mentioned her own bedroom, but soon it spoke again. "Nothing there will hurt you." Not that nothing could hurt you in there.... But there were no hauntings inherent in that room tonight.
