can't seem to find the time to update these days.. at work i'm actually..working. i've been getting here before 9:45, or atleast trying to. i feel like the people in the 'doc' area are more vigilant workers so i have to step up my game. also, i'm trying to land myself a job. apparently when samira had her evaluation meeting with the three danone bosses (my new one and old one included) they mentioned that they were happy with my work and somehow insinuated their intent to hire me at the end. when the fact that i'm american and have no papers was brought up, it was kindof pushed aside becuase it's apparently not even a big deal. awesome..if it works out. the fact that shit hasn't done about my bonus/pay, 2 months later, makes me skeptical that anyone in this company will bouge leur fesses to help me out. that's why i'm being proactive and getting my cv ready. matea called me today from her training week in madrid for the job that requires 9 months of traveling per year. apparently they hire often and well, if she gets it, and likes it, maybe i can go for the same type thing.
i went running with david in buttes chaumont. amazing how i live so close but have never ventured in. there's this huge cave-like thing with stalactites. really nice. we chatted a lot which made the 50 minutes pass by quickly. i mentioned that guillaume "le militaire" will be coming back to france soon and intends to win me back. why am i purposely creating shit? i need to tell guillaume once and for all that it's over..that way we won't have any bloody noses.
i made chili and cornbread yesterday for davio. i think i'm definitely winning his tastebuds and stomach over. i didn't tell him that the cornbread was from a jiffy mix and the taco seasoning was prepackaged. whateverrrrr. it tasted damn good. he doesn't have to know all the details. i brought samira the last 2 pieces of the cornbread, just cause i'm so nice. she was the one that gave me the inside scoop about perhaps hiring me. also, i can't have any food lying around the apartment. i have no self-control whatsoever!
i took my web authoring midterm yesterday and finished first. it was really a piece of cake. i also had to make decisions for my company in strategic managment on monday without the help of my 2 teammates. one is of no help anyway so that didn't change much. but when we got the results back surprisingly we jumped from 8th to 3rd place..thanks to moi! hah.
i spent the week end in the country at david's parents house. it was a wondeful and memorable week end. the weather was amazing first of all. the sun was shining and the temperature was 'agreable'. we went running in shorts and a teeshirt (firefighter tees!) at a lake nearby. we also had yummy food (his mom's french version of lasagna..so funny that they put bechamel sauce in it!!). definitely one of the best days of 2007 so far! i really appreciated david's company this week end and think my feelings for him have gotten stronger over the past week or 2. he's such a good guy. for once, i feel like i'm the one that will fuck things up.. er.
so i'm on vacation starting tomorrow evening, after my operations management test which i have to study for tonight.
i just ordered the 'tattoo icons' book by victionary (google it cause i'm too lazy to link) which cost me $78 for the shipping from hong kong. i think my next tattoo lies between those pages. so exciting.
i feel super pretty today. my hair is slightly decoiffed from a good night's sleep (been getting a few in a row these days and i feel aammazzing), i'm wearing a long belair skirt as a strapless dress and a black ballet wrap around the top, my patent nine west heels that are suppper high and beautious, and my makeup looks perrrfect. i've been eliminating the liquid eyeliner from my daily makeup regimen. i've been doing it for like 3-4 years straight. i'm into this new mascara that has a comb on the end and makes my lashes mileslong so i don't even need any liner. plus, the mac strobe cream gives me the dewy effect that i've been searching for..forever. when my foundation runs out i'll invest in the chanel foundation to complete the look. also, i've been into a more rigorous skin regimen (gommage + peel 1x per week; gommage + hydration masque 1x per week; waterless makeup remover). pretty.
