Family what?
I write this without political bias, although I have some, but as an illustration of the sometimes enormous disconnect with reality caused by politics.
Remember the big, fat buzzwords “family values”. In the wake of Clinton’s indiscretions(s), the Republicans hammered on that concept (whatever they meant by it), even somehow holding up Sarah Palin’s dysfunctional family and glowing examples.
Here we are in the mean season again and not a family value peep. Why? Well, it’s hard to do much with that when your candidate is on his third wife, with whom he cheated on his second wife. It’s like the Christian right gave it a little thought and said, “Oh, hell, we want a Republican president so…. let’s forget about all that.” Um, you mean you people were not sincere all these years?
