Yes I know, it's past due for an update

Yes, I know it's wayyy past due for an actual LJ update (let's see if folks will unfriend me after I post this cause they've forgotten about me)...

Well, I turn 41 this upcoming Sunday, not a lot of fanfare this year - gonna have a sushi dinner with friends this Saturday, that's pretty much it. Not going to any play parties or anything like that this year. Plus after last year's drama - meh...

Most folks already know if you read  worldofcharlie  LJ that I've been sick/ill - been dealing with positional vertigo, and I'm hoping it'll be gone soon. Doctor says it usually lasts about 2 weeks, and it's already been a week since I've been hit with it. Been taking meds (over the counter version of Antivert) for it and I really hate the meds. Due to the meds - I may not be able to drink alcohol Saturday night (If I time the pills right, may be able to a little bit). The Vertigo tends to happen when I'm lying down in bed and I get dizzy when I try to roll my head over, but no issues standing up (my balance is kind of off, but that's about it). The meds make me feel dopey and bleh. I was told if this doesn't go away in another week to go see an ENT doctor and he/she will suck out the deposits through my nose. (well it's an inner ear issue). It sounds really unpleasant... :(

I'm still unemployed but out of the blue got a call from my former boss from KP (he was my customer pretty close to 10 years ago and became my boss twice) that if I'm looking for work, he'd like to submit me for an Analyst position. He's in a completely different group now. It's a contract position, he had zero details about it (he said he didn't have job requirements or anything) he sent me a text stating to expect a call about interviewing. I'd be reporting to my former boss' current manager and a Project Manager (both names were familiar) and I'd be interviewing with them and a third person - which I happen to know and can't stand. Not sure how to handle an interview with that woman, I really don't like her, but she's probably just as familiar with my history with Kaiser as my former boss is (probably longer). So, I dunno how the questions will pan out with her in the room, she can probably give both managers a lot of background on me - but I'm sure that my former boss already did that. She's supposedly retiring soon (everyone is wishing she'd do it NOW!). But we'll see what happens, usually when my former boss submits me for a contract job and if it's in his own group - I usually get it (like the past two times) but I don't know the hiring managers - I do know one person that will sit in on the interview.

That's promising news...well it'd be perfect timing - get a job around my birthday (depends on when I interview and if I get the job or not). I'm keeping my fingers crossed. This former boss is pretty good at sneaking me back to KP (as he has twice before). Be great if I get hired on again, at least he's in a new group that .
actually does HIRE people. (ex boss former group rarely does, they just recycle contractors yearly).

Aside from vertigo, and looking for work, everything's okay with me. I've been hit with seasonal depression due to the early and wetter than normal winter here.

Maybe everything will all change soon... :)

How's everyone?
