It's a good thing that most of the movies I rent are rent one get one free or borrowed from friends. I mean, honestly I could do better and watch even more for free.
Netflix has movies that you can play instantly, Hulu and now Youtube do too (except I'm not paying for those two). I took a list of all the movies/tv shows that I can watch for free and what day the videos expire online. I made a list to encourage myself to stop spending money seeing as I probably won't have any more of it pretty soon. Also, I am not allowed to go out to eat anymore. Too bad the job that feeds me twice a week for free is gonna be gone pretty soon.
Anyhow, I'm gonna start talking about movies now:
The Hangover: HILARIOUS. Haven't laughed so hard in a while. And pretty much through the entire movie. Andy from the Office was HILARIOUS, especially when he started singing a song he made up. And of course the cameo by Mike Tyson was funny (but you already saw that in the credits). Zach G (can't spell his last name) I was expecting would be just a bunch of fat/naked jokes, but also had a lot of good lines. Bradley Cooper (I think that's his name) was funny too cause he reminded me of my Uncle Mark. That and he was a badass. Some of the things that happen in the movie look like tons of fun and I want to do them too. Not everything of course. Also, a warning to those who don't enjoy seeing genitalia: There are no vaginas in the movie but a few penises shown.
Beverly Hills Ninja: One of those movies you see the case of as a child and just have to rent since you've been wondering about it for years. It wasn't a great movie at all, but Chris Farley jumping around in a karate suit in itself was kinda funny.
Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion: Kinda lame movie. It was a lame movie week. But I still wanted to see what it was all about for the same reason as the movie above. The flashbacks were necessary but the amount of them was annoying. Also the characters were way too over the top, which I knew by the case was gonna happen. Reminds me of my group since we didn't really fit into popular or unpopular but were sometimes picked on. We didn't have that horrible sense of fashion either though, so that was good.
Me, Myself, and Irene: Sometimes I like Jim Carrey and sometimes I don't. I don't like it when he's over the top, and I knew he would be in this movie. I didn't really find it all that funny. I did however like his "children" who were intelligent but talking in ghetto-type speech at the same time.
Guys and Dolls: Too much singing! I fastforwarded through half of the movie cause I was so damn annoyed. However, I enjoyed most of the story. I liked how one of the characters was trying to get a nun to go on a vacation with him.
Airplane 2: It's basically the same as "Airplane" so if you don't want to see the same gags and lines as the first movie, don't watch this one. I still laughed a little though.
Colour Me Kubrick: I love John Malkovich. He is just such a funny guy. I like how when he was pretending to be Stanley Kubrick he even said something about getting John Malkovich to play in his next movie (or maybe it was that he didn't want him to play, w/e either way it was funny). He was just so convincing as a con man pretending to be Stanley Kubrick and everyone believed him and got him whatever he wanted. Good times.
Mystic Pizza: I thought I was renting a different movie when I picked this one up. I mean, it did have one actress I recognized on it, but I honestly can't tell you what I was thinking when I picked up this dvd. It sucked. It was about three girls in bad situations with guys (one who hit on a married man, one guy who wanted to marry a girl who was afraid of commitment, and one girl who thought she had a cheating boyfriend and had a temper) so it was an annoying chick flick. Spare yourself the time and don't see this movie. Also, they all worked at a pizza shop! zomgggggg who cares.
Dirty Harry: This movie was pretty good. Basically a cop not carrying about what others thought when he solved a case and kicking everyone's asses who were in his way. Fun times. Also got to hear the infamous line: "Do you feel lucky?"
Cowboy Bebop the Movie: I liked this better than the show (I know that's weird). I didn't really like the show but I think it's because I didn't care for Edward. She was fucking annoying and I pretty much almost turned off every episode she was in just cause of her mannerisms and voice. I dunno, the plot of this movie was pretty good so I kept it going and I liked it.
The Great Debaters: I thought that this movie would be a little more epic than it was. I was a little bored throughout it. The montages of them winning and just all the time in between were lame. I think I liked more the plot of the fight to get to where they were than actually watching every debate or a montage of it. Also, the childish love story was distracting.
The Man Who Knew Too Little: Why had I not heard of this movie before? This movie was hilarious. It is about how Bill Murray gets to participate in this tv show where he is an actor. Except he gets involved with the wrong crowd thinking it is the tv show and misses the actual phone call for the tv show. It's hilarious the whole way through because he thinks he's acting but really he's beating up all kinds of bad guys and solving a police case.
The Man With Two Brains: This movie was boring until he found a brain that could talk towards the end. Still not worth sitting through but oh well. Had to check and see if this Steve Martin movie was good or not.
Infernal Affairs: Maybe I should've actually watched the movie rather than sitting back and assuming it was like the Departed (since the Departed was based off of it). Then maybe I'd think it was cool. Maybe I should watch it over, or at least the beginning. I dunno. Sometimes I have so many things to watch I just don't pay attention as much as I should, even if it's a good movie. That's unfortunate. I'm sure this one was pretty damn sweet.
