Back from Long Beach.
Hey everyone. I'm back from Anime Expo. Back from Long Beach and all...
And let me just say that Anime Expo was TERRIBLE this year. It was completely unorganized, I went to none of the panels, and I got kicked out of a concert line just for having a camera, after I waited 2+ hours to get in.
The area around the Long Beach Convention Center is really beautiful for pictures though. It's very convenient that a lot of food places and such are really close to the convention center too. I just hate how the convention center was split up so you had to walk a block or so just to get to the dealer's room from the Terrace Fountains, which made it hard for cosplayers to get to different gatherings that were close by to each other. Also, Long Beach is very scary at night time. My friend got chased down by a hobo who was harassing her for money, which she didn't have, since she was wearing a bodysuit underneath her cosplay. Her friend (and my new friend)Zappa grabbed her and they ran off.
The people I met at AX were extremely nice and they're the ones that made the experience so much better. They let me tag along with them, helped me find my badge when I had lost it, helped me get a new badge, and my friend Lex even helped me find my camera. I am so grateful. I hope I can see them all again sometime, especially my friends from Arizona I just made. T_T
I got so many pictures at the Ouran High School Host Club gathering of my Beelzenef costume. I barely got any of my acolyte costume though, and the only one I found was when I had my wig off. On Sunday, I forgot to bring my wig cap to my friend's hotel, so I went without the wig. On Friday, I had the wig on though.
What else can I say? Well, I spent $120. My mom decided to give me more money and she didn't expect me to spend it. Sadly, I couldn't help myself. T_T But, she DID say just in case I wanted to buy something else for myself. I also got something for two of my friends. I got a Mahora Academy bag from Negima to carry my extra stuff in, a Chamomile plushie from Negima, a Water Meat from Gaia Online, a Moogle Hat (I wanted an ORLY hat from Gaia, but they were sold out), a Mokona Hat (for my friend), and a Full Metal Alchemist keychain (for my other friend). I also got a $3 doujinshi that I thought would be better, but oh well. The "hidden alley" of the artist alley needed some attention anyway, since we didn't see them before. OH, not to mention, for $15, I got a comission of my character, Zilo, colored and all. My friend has it now, since she had to pick it up later when I had to leave to get back to northern California. She says it looks adorable, so I'm happy. I can't wait to see it! -squee-
I also had Coldstone's ice cream for the first time. The shakes are delicious. It was a coffee ice cream and caramel milkshake. Yum~. I also had Denny's for the first time. The one we went to was really good and the waiter was really nice and kept asking if we needed anything. ^^
Since I came back, I've been playing underworldRO, and I've gotten pretty far with my new characters. I like the rates on the server. I've also been taking care of my rat I got before the convention, and my sister's mice.
Yes, I have a rat. It's unnamed yet, and I think I want to keep it that way. It's hard to choose a name. My sister has a few nicknames for it though, that make fun of him 'cause he's male. Her mice are all female.
Augh. He pushed his litter out of the corner again. I'm going to have to get him a bigger cage than this. He used to be so calm and climbed around on my shoulders. Now he hops and skitters about his cage and doesn't want to be touched or picked up or anything. This might be because I leave my door open now to let my cats in. My cats don't really mess with them. They just smell them, and sometimes the younger cat jumps on my sister's cage (It has a cover on top) and harasses her mice, when the mice are in her room.
There's not much else I can update everyone on, I guess. I'll upload pictures eventually. Once I figure out where I put my camera in my room, and once I get the cable to upload pictures from it from my sister.
