Time.
It's man's sworn enemy.
There's never enough of it, it costs money, and it's always running out.
Although it's immaterial - time still manages to slip through our fingers somehow.
After the morning meetings, 8 hours chained to a desk, the busy commute home and finally dinner ... the only remaining time ... is bed time.
It's a painful cycle so many of us fall into ... despise .. and never break.
Sure we occassionally have our "me time" "vacation time" and the "sick time" we never get around to taking ... but what about the time to really appreciate life, beauty, and the world around us.
We're too busy speeding on the highway, taking the people mover, trying to get ahead that we never pause to notice the dandelion that grew between the gap of sidewalk ... call that friend that we never should have lost touch with ... or pause to consider those contemplative voices in the back of our heads.
Granted, I'm no Aristotle ... wandering around town ... considering the possibilities ... pondering why we ponder. But maybe I should take the time and try.
