Goodbye

A friend is leaving Singapore. We didn't even get to say bye properly.

Sometimes I feel that I value my friendships emotionally, which is not enough to sustain it but sufficient to affect me.

Yes, we may see each other in years to come (word alive in april and rugby world cup in 2015?) and we may still chat like old friends but... (Or it may just be really awkward)

If you don't even make the effort to meet up when you're in the same country, are you still considered friends? Or considered as friends who can make you feel sad when they are gone?

I don't really know what I'm saying.

I finished 5 things I needed to do in the office tonight and now I sleep.

We used to Skype even when we were in the same country. How can you be close one phase and disappear the next? Or was it me?

Many people fleet in and out of our lives. Some leave a special impression even if the interaction was brief. Should I really be feeling sad about each one of them every time (especially when this affinity is probably unrequited - how does that even work)?

affinity, singapore, via ljapp, friends, questions, london
