Today was a good day

I've been remiss in my posting. Add to that the fact that most of my posts lately have been depressing or cranky, and it's not a good thing. So today I write about a generally good day.

Started off by heading down to the Kenosha Harbor Market with the boy. We wandered a bit. Got some bubble teas, mine with tapioca, his without. He got a ginormous hot dog and munched on that while we sipped our bubble tea. Also picked up some flat bread from Mangia's (to DIE for), kettle corn and some homemade doggie biscuits that have become a tradition to get when we go to the market. Makes the boy and the puppies happy.

After the market we walked across the street to the sprinkler park for the boy to play for a bit. Check out the pics here. He got his fill of the water and we headed home long enough to stop and get a drink and leash up the dogs. We took a nice long walk around the block and down to the park. Terra loved it, but Brekke is getting a bit old for such a long walk in very warm weather. She got slower and slower on the way home, but seemed to still enjoy herself. As of right now, Brekke is sleeping on the couch while Terra is on the chair. We have two pooped pups. Of course, the kid and I were pretty tired, too.

In all, a very good day. Lots of activity outside and now nicely resting in a cool, quiet house. The only thing that would have made it better would have been if zman923 could have joined us. Such is the price we pay for a stable job, however. Tomorrow RHDS has requested a trip to the Kenosha Public Museum. He loves to visit the mammoth over and over. Perhaps more pictures tomorrow.

family, rhds
