I can’t seem to be able to write angst these days. I swear Ryeowook’s Kyuwook photos really put me in such a good mood that all I can write is fluff. These are -- well-- pointlessly sweet, I suppose idek this is sooo sappy! *facepalm*
So bring on the rain, and bring on the thunder | G
Kyuhyun/Ryeowook
Ryeowook goes to his safest place to hide.
It always began with the soft pitter-patter of the raindrops against the glass panels of his windows. It always began as a soothing, calming noise, but as time drew on, the rainfall outside would change into something more violent and frightening.
At the first strike of lightning that night; that one single flash of brilliant white light that exploded before his eyes, his body trembled and clasped his trembling hands over his ears, hoping to block out the loud rumble of the thunder in the distance. He felt an elbow nudge his side gently and he turned to look at Kyuhyun who was gazing at him with concerned eyes and a then a smile.
Each time there was a thunderstorm like this, he had nowhere else to go to; except to Kyuhyun. His safest place to hide.
"Come closer," Kyuhyun murmured softly as he wound his arm around Ryeowook's waist who was curled up by his side, his voice was deep and soothing above everything else. The smaller man scooted closer, joining their sides together as he wrapped his own arms around the younger man's waist tightly, pillowing his head against the others' shoulder.
When Kyuhyun held him, there was nothing to be afraid of.
On the night of the blackout | G
Kyuhyun/Ryeowook
If you're here, I don't need anything else.
"Kyuhyun-ah, where are you?" Ryeowook called out not too loudly, his small voice trembled softly in the silence. He was all by himself in the darkened halls of the dormitory. There had been a blackout, and Kyuhyun had specifically told him to stay in the room, but Ryeowook couldn't help himself from looking for the other when Kyuhyun didn't come back after awhile.
The light from his cellphone he held in his hand went out and he gasped sharply, the darkness around him engulfed him. He fumbled with his Android, his sweaty fingers sliding across the screen back and forth like crazy, until the backlight came back on -- illuminating a pale face right in front of his face and his heart nearly fused out from the shock.
Kyuhyun's face loomed before him, their faces too close that their breath mingled and Ryeowook's breath hitched. The taller man was smirking mischievously (slightly amused that he spooked the older man). Under the muted light from his phone, the other looked exceptionally terrorizing.
"Shh, I'm here. Don't worry. Come with me," Kyuhyun muttered lowly as he captured Ryeowook's small wrist and guided the older man through the darkness, finding his way around the dormitory with ease. Ryeowook's grasp around Kyuhyun's hand tightened, and the other man squeezed his hand back reassuringly. He led Ryeowook to the kitchen and sat the smaller man down at the dining table; Ryeowook's hold onto Kyuhyun never weakened.
Moments later, there was a flicker of a soft orange light and the kitchen was lit up dimly by the single candle on the table. Kyuhyun sat down by his side and smiled warmly at him, their hands still entwined. They were quiet for awhile, just gazing at each other with nothing to say.
"This is kind of romantic," Ryeowook commented softly, eyes smiling beautifully at Kyuhyun. The expression on Kyuhyun's face was unreadable, but there was something inside those dark orbs where only Ryeowook reflected from inside and made Ryeowook's heart beat a little faster.
"Yeah, it is," Kyuhyun murmured deeply as he moved in close and planted a kiss onto Ryeowook's pink lips. Ryeowook shut his eyes and kissed back.
