I am watching Band of Brothers, which by the way is really freaking good. Very well done. But in watching it I feel like I need to right. Hitler and the nazi regime killed 6 million Jews and 5 million other foreign peoples for no other reason then to exterminate them. That is a CATASTROPHIC loss of life. That can’t be replaced. But perhaps the most shocking thing is that the world did not think that a nation was capable of such a wide scale evil. Are we really so much more aware today? Could it happen again? I don’t underestimate mankind and their capacity for hate and the justification of hate.
Yet I have to give it to every person who has fought for their country against evil. Taking you life in your hands for a cause is admirable. Just make sure its for the right reasons.
Just thought I’d share that.
