Am I the only one who finds it odd that we're seeing proxy all-calls from ST staff? Invitations for those so out of the loop that they need to hear about the situation on [General-OOC] to come throw down in a battle royale?
A situation that went from a handful of private invitations to a location where some folks were held was turned into a mass

I agree completely. For those unfamiliar, lemme splain: There is apparently a custom power that works the way Roving Hut was previously misused to lock someone up indefinately. There's a lot more to it than that, and the flavor text is *much* different.
That said, I agree that it should have been stopped right then and there. I can accept that a couple of people were permitted to get phone calls in to call for back up, and I wouldn't have complained if they came back and said "You are all frozen while we nail down some stupid custom mechanics. Sorry, but we'll get it sorted ASAP." As an RST was involved, there are a whole 2 possible steps that this could go to. I'd e-mail Jon and Dawn and say "WTF, yo? This reads like X, but that seems odd. Clarification?" And hopefully they'd have it settled in a day or two. But whatever is happening with that, they've gone the extra mile and invited every Requiem player to come proxy down to a fight that shouldn't be a fight.
Either they're caught, and the people they could track down that night come to try and outmaneuver each other, or they get free.
Instead, they're trying to host a proxy war. I'm not suggesting violence, but I'd have an RST in my trunk right now if I were a local being subjected to that mess.
That step one is to freeze everyone for a week is proof of a drastic ST side failure.

aw shit, I rolled a 1, RAWR! *giggles* She wouldn't. Besides, she knows you're referring to the dirty Parisians, and not the rest of them. ;)

I know in the scene itself, when players attempted to call for a defense of some sort, we were informed that there might be a defense to it,but the ST couldn't tell us. The same with a Wits+Inv+Aus test...because by the ST telling us, he was breaking the integrity of the scene.
I don't think I've ever been this close to wanting to actually drive back to a game with a whole bunch of people. Ever.
