The stars she named in the night were hers, but he made her witness the unseen stars of day. She didn’t know how he could do it; he would point at the sky and say, “They may shine for my lady Robin,” and somehow there was a sparkle, a one fading away so fast that she could barely catch it with her eyes. First, she deemed it a magic trick, thought maybe she was seeing the sunrays instead. But soon it became clear that what she imagined, she saw, like she was a child again but this time with hope.
