Stupid holidays. My mom didn't devote a single day in her life to me. I don't see why I should care about her any more than she cared about me.

I understand if you feel upset...but you shouldn't be completely hateful toward your mother.Sshe gave you life after all and it's possible that she was in a situation that would of prevented her in giving you a good life if she raised you herself.

Oh, so she left me alone the second she could so I could have a good life! Now I get it. I'm so thankful. I couldn't possibly have gotten where I am today without her.

Perhaps your mother and you will cross paths someday...and she'll be able to explain everything. It's always possible.

I'm not saying everything in the past can just be erased with a simple "I'm sorry." but if you do see her and she's sincerely apologetic about leaving you and wants to try to make amends, I would at least hear her out.
