So yeah, about that broken phoneline

So the guy came today, poked around in the exchange box outside, left for a while and then came back while I was out. Turns out what was broken was the little wall plug I got when replacing everything that got fried by lightning about a year ago. I'm amazed it lasted so long without dying sooner.

Well, its replaced and everything works again now, so I'm happy. I can surf /b/ for underage teen porn again! I mean, talk to Tressa. Yeah. 'Cause I don't do that other stuff. At all. Never.

Anyway, notepads have been acquired, lined and not so lined. Both will come in handy for brainstorming. I've developed a liking for them whilst doing so as opposed to binders and books. I blame work for this.

Now, once I have stopped being exhausted, I will get to brainstorming. I already have a vague idea on what to do. As Ed stated in his last little Eureka moment, what we need is a common goal that motivates the players to work together to achieve it, be it saving loved ones or the prospect of great wealth, and devlope the bonds that make a good party. Otherwise you end up with a party of lone wolves, none wanting to hang around with the others for very long. Of course likeable personalities and group orientated characters also help.

The other issue is making a good story, and doing in such a way that doesn't appear to be railroading, because God Knows you bastards need to be railroaded like there was no tomorrow just to get shit done. The Guserron story filled with nothing but me railroading people on adventures with the vague promise of wealth and fame. It could at least pretend it wasn't right up until the end there, where it really became apparent that I was forcing it.

Hell, I should write up the end of it. Those character don't deserve to just hang in limbo like that. The deserve a degree of closure to the horror I have filled their lives with.

Then I'll start working hard on the Space Opera/Adventure. Enjoyable fun all round.
