i know i should've stayed in tonight and just done my reading already but ryan and i went to watch district 9 and wow - just, wow. i loved the style (though i could've done with less cloverfield-cam at some points) and the way the story was laid out. i do have a beef with some points but they don't detract from the fact that this is definitely one of the better movies i've watched this year. (Y)

still on my to-watch list: the hangover (though i think there's a pretty good quality cam floating around on the hub somewhere), inglourious basterds, up (but this isn't out here yet).
