My boss took my laptop to the HQ yesterday to download the programme I need for the job, but the IT consultant said my laptop has virus and I need anti-virus immediately. My poor laptop stayed at the IT hospital overnight, and still, no change. I miss my laptop so much, I'm so happy to see it come back to me in one piece, I almost kissed my laptop.
My boss recently moved into his own room in the office. It is rather messy and empty all at the same time. But like I said, my boss is hardly in the office so it feels more like my room, rather than his. I was so bored in the morning (haven't seen my boss the whole morning) that I started moving the furniture around.
The highlight of yesterday was my driving lesson. It was my first driving lesson in the dark. My instructor met me at Ubi, and he gave me the wheel and told me to drive to Changi. We made a few turns here and there, to get me familiar with the car. This time round, I had no problem with starting the car and moving off without stalling, which goes to say that I have finally caught my biting point (hooray!) but I still have problem with my brakes. Each time I brake too late, and end up forgetting to clutch in, which led to a stall. Still, I think I did rather well. My instructor looked pleased as he ate lemons (he threw the lemon skin out the window when I was driving!) and he joked that if I drive properly, he'd let me drive home but if I don't, then I'd have to take a bus home myself. It was late, around 10pm.
In the end, he let me drive home, and I was SO nervous to be out there on the big road! I wanted to go faster because all the other cars were zooming past me, but my instructor said it's not safe for me to go above 70KM/HR yet. I was so excited that I made it home in one piece and I was quite proud of myself. :)
Okay, boss called. Back to work.
