Today in Shame
Okay, so I'm in Ad Astra, and there's an artist (I'll post a link to his webpage later) who does these very neat glass paintings of SF characters in very unusual (for SF characters) poses & outfits.
So I'm looking at his art, discussing, for example, the surfing Boba Fett, and I said "I like this painting of a Trandoshan".
"A what?"
My lips twisted in uncertainty for a moment. "This... Bossk... Guy."
Oh, man. It always makes me feel bad to step over that line and be the much geekier person in a conversation. I never have to worry about that when I'm talking to kinra.
