Packing has begun in earnest for the weeklong cruse to Central America and Mexico. It will be my first time (in recollection) leaving the States, and I look forward to the diversion. We’ll be leaving on the seventh day of the week (viz. tomorrow), God willing. There should be a few picturesque photos of the trip to bring back for all you picture ( Read more... )

=D Don't I, though? I was trying to blend in, but it was hard.

Well, thanks, now I look forward even more to having my wisdom teeth removed! ;) Someone (and I'm sure more than just one person) actually had their jaw fractured from the dentist yanking on their tooth. Crazy.

Yeah, many people have impacted wisdom teeth. My sister did. I'm not sure about myself. Needless to say, I don't much like the dentist's office. Do you feel that you're missing those four molars?

Looks like Nathan B. is wearing a sweater, but still has a tie and blends in more. (Just had to point out that not *all* of them are wearing jackets.) ;)

Literalist! (Ya, I know: It's a Merritt trait.) He made me feel a little more comfortable about not having a jacket, but now that I see the photo, I'm the only noticeable one without a jacket. That's not good.

OUch! Yea one of my wisdom teeth are coming in too and its causin me some serious pain. I had one pulled already...bled for a long time and ran outa gauze, had to use tea bags...yep..fun stuff.

The actually pulling out part was not bad at all.....I was miserable afterwards tho cuz our electricity went out. Wasn't a good day for me ;)

Have an AWESOME time on the Cruise!!!

Nice tooth story. Thanks for sharing. =p Now I feel MUCH better about it. Thankfully, though, I'm not at the serious-pain stage, yet.

It'll be a really fun cruise, I'm sure. The best part will be to see the various different landscapes.

Well, it the tooth being pulled and the pain afterwards weren't bad...the thing that made it bad was that the dentist didn't give me enough gauze and that we had noooo electricity that day. That's what made me miserable. ;) Its really not that bad though. =) I'm sure it'll be fine if/when you have it pulled.

Have you read much else by Piper? I haven't read too much but I've heard a lot of his sermon tapes. VERY good!

Have a nice time on your trip.

*wishes I could teleport to Mexico*

No, but I certainly plan on reading much more of Dr. Piper's books. Do you have tapes, or do you mean that you listen to his sermon's online?

=) Thanks. My guess is that we'll have an excellent time.

I listen to tapes, either that we have or that we've borrowed. His tapes/books/C.D.'s are plentiful in our Reformed Baptist circles...
