July 6th, 8pm. London Pavilion, near Piccadilly Circus.

Leaning back in my seat in the limousine, I watched as the streets of London rolled past outside. We were still on Piccadilly, not that far past St. James Park, and already I could see the crowds gathering on the pavements. Before leaving Whaddon House I had heard on the radio that there were an estimated 12,000 people on the streets around Piccadilly Circus, waiting to see their heroes arrive at the cinema. Girls screamed and waved as the limo pulled past. I would have waved back, except that I knew it was not me that they were cheering for.

I turned away from the window and looked at my boys with a smile. They all looked very fine in their tuxedos and black tie.

"All this for you, eh, boys?"

Our progress was slowing to a crawl as we approached the neon lights of Piccadilly Circus. Flashbulbs began to pop. We had arrived.
