I found this photo on someone's tumblr (sadly don't recall which one anymore, I just loaded it down and later I couldn't find the tumblr anymore) but have no idea when the ladies posed for that one:

I'm wondering if this had something to do with the Romanian Orphans appeal, which all Beatle wives joined together for, to promote the charity. I think Olivia had the original idea, and she and George for a time even considered adopting a Romanian orphan, I'm not sure why that didn't come to fruition.

Yes, that sounds like an occasion where the photo makes sense. Thank you so much! Though I agree with Jonesy, it looks somewhat photoshopped.

Okay, I have a question, I have dozens of Beatles books, and I just want to make sure I have the ones most George-centric; particularly I'd like to concentrate on birth-20 years, as those years are oftentimes neglected in favour of Beatles and Beyond years. I don't have time to list all the books I have, and I know some suggestions will be ones already acquired, but that's fine, at least I'll know I'm off to a good start. I also want to get the new Louise book and the new Pete Best books when they come out, also there's a second book about Hamburg, should be a good companion piece to the Spencer Leigh book. If only I could afford Derek Taylor's book, and those of Astrid, Klaus, Jurgen, etc.!!!

I was just thinking the other day--the story is that McCartneys never had any nannies. But when they started touring with Wings, they had two real little ones (Stella must have only been a few months old), and their eldest not yet a decade old. Who was looking after the children when they were performing on stage?

I remember Linda said during an interview (I forget which one--I think it might have been with Tom Snyder in the 70s) that they left the kids with relatives of Linda's in Cleveland while they performed. I'd imagine that, sometimes when they didn't have someone to watch them, they took the kids along with them to the stadium and maybe they fell asleep backstage. They might have also brought a friend along or flown them out for a few days so they could help take care of the kids.

Later in Wings' career, Heather was older so I'm sure they felt comfortable leaving her in charge of her siblings. They did in the 80s when Paul and Linda were on Terry Wogan's show.
