27 years isn't so long
Meant to put something up yesterday, but didn't get around to it, so here it is today.
Happy Thanksgiving to folks, hope y'all enjoyed your holiday. And Halloween, too, for that matter, as I haven't posted since September *fails*
Yesterday was my birthday and pretty uneventful. Opened at work, had Thanksgiving leftovers and watched Jonah Hex. Not bad, after work I enjoyed my evening.
Been busy with stuff and things lately, very few of them here, but I'm working towards working on those things, if that makes any sense. I'm sure it doesn't.
Work has been meh and blah. There's a possibility I might be offered a manager position, very iffy on whether or not I'm going to take it. Pay raise would be good, but hours would stink (hello opening every stinking day), the store they want to give me is one I greatly dislike, and I can't help feeling like if I take it I'll be stuck there forever. But, as I said, pay increase (we're on a pay freeze now, so raise won't be happening anytime soon without my saying yes to this), more vacation hours, and extra holidays off.
I'll think about it, and see if they actually offer.
Otherwise not a whole lot going on. Trying to organize things with myself, get on some sort of track at least, and working on this whole 'being an adult' thing. Though, not too hard, ya know?
Dad was gone for a week for a business trip and came back for Thanksgiving. He'll be leaving again tomorrow and will be gone until a few days before Christmas. That's gonna suck, but I have enjoyed having the house to myself for awhile. I'm just a really huge person for spending time with family for the holidays, and with him gone we won't get to do as much. Like decorating and such.
I guess I'll just have to spend more time at mom's, even if her dogs drive me nuts. And recruit my bro for help hanging the lights.
Otherwise things are good. End of the year is coming up fast. I guess I've made some progress over last year. Perhaps not as much as I'd have liked, but looking back I can see some spots where I managed improvement. Still a month left, so maybe I can squeeze in a few extra accomplishments under the wire. We'll see.
