Yesterday I fasted!!! I know, an ADD, formerly food-addicted girl fasted an entire day - and a day that lasted from 6am- late!!! God is so good!

It wasn't something I felt like I had to do, nor was I trying to get something from God. It was just an idea God put in my mind the previous evening, which was like this overflowing joy from Heaven!

God wants to give us good things, but He doesn't want us to become enslaved by anything, or abuse His good gifts.

When He sets us free from twisted relationships with His good gifts (food, beauty, comfort, sex, art, etc), He makes the impossible possible. When we are addicted, we cannot free ourselves - we are completely bound to our addictions. ( Read more... )
