I was awake for way too long last night, and it's going to happen tonight, too, because I'm putting off doing an assignment/project that I had 2 weeks to do for...I'll do it in an hour. Maybe. It can't take more than an hour, it's just shitty data stuff for social research methods - boring shit that I don't care about. I wish I was still in Arizona, you know, training Capoeira, and I wish I had some sort of job that didn't take much time and wasn't in school and had money to go to Capoeira events more often and go to Brazil (et cetera) and not have to worry about school afterwards. Or finish (a.k.a. start writing one because all the one's I started are utter shit that I can't go back to because I keep putting my own life into it and there's a certain point where I can't go any further because I don't want to offend people I care about even if what I write isn't even offensive) a novel. I need to write about vampires and faeries. Instead of gender and orientation characters, characters who are good at fighting, characters who self-harm, et cetera....characters who are siblings in love, characters who train martial arts, characters who.....the list goes on and on. Whatever.
Today in Kung Fu there were only guys training and one of the guys said, "None of the girls are here." YESSSS! They freaking accept me and see me as a guy! It was awesome. And we did a lot of push-ups and sit-ups and stuff and it was awesome. YES. And they called me Kaden, not Calliope. FREAKING AWESOME.
I think I did terrible on the make-up Portuguese quiz that I missed when I was in Arizona for Capoeira (irony of the century!)....I'm really not paying attention in class enough or studying enough, et cetera, I need to find a way to focus more. But already at least in martial arts training I feel the whole "mind-over-matter" thing and focussing on each technique and not looking at the floor, not always looking at the clock, low stances, et cetera, now I just have to apply it to my classes.....
