Smells like October.

It smells like October.

That real earthy smell that reminds me of raking up leaves.

I remember stuffing old clothes with leaves and making them look like real people. I think we filled trashbags for the heads, but I can't recall. We'd fill up gardening gloves too, and put a pair of old shoes on the ground in front. We'd used Mom and Dad's old clothes as well as some of our own so it'd be like a family of leaf people and we'd set them up on the front porch.

There's this tree next to the parking lot out my window, and every time the wind blows (even a little) tons of yellow leaves scatter down from this tree, it looks like it's snowing leaves. But they shine in the golden sunlight, and they make that noise, that fluttering noise, and that light crisp sound when then hit the pavement below. It's wonderful.

The sun is setting so I can't actually tell how many leaves are really yellow or if it's the sunlight hitting them at the right angle. It also makes all the yellow leaves even brighter, it's so beautiful, this is why I love the Fall.

I want to go to a Cider Mill, and get some cider and donuts like we used to when we were little. That would be so good right now.

Went for a hike with my parents yesterday. It was really great. The woods were so beautiful, and Dad was walking really quickly, but he would stop and we'd let Mom catch up, and then we'd keep going. I seriously could have gotten lost in there though. I had NO idea where we were, let alone how to get out. There were paths that went around in circles, and paths that lead to the path you were just on 10 minutes ago, and paths that went nowhere. Good thing I didn't get separated from Mom and Dad. My only regret was that I had to work last night. I wanted to hang out with Mom and Dad some more.
