(no subject)
So... I went to prom last weekend. Haha - truth. It was tons of fun - I was invited by the Rosman faculty, and ended up going as the "date" of one of my cast members. Footloose, by the way, ROCKED MY FACE OFF. The cast was SO amazing, and I'm so proud of all of them. Evidently, I ruined everyone's life during the last few nights of the show, but c'est la vie. So we went to Hob Nob for dinner (tastycake!), then to the prom. We got them to play Bon Jovi's "Shot Through The Heart" so we could do the "Sundhiemer," and the Footloose theme song, upon hearing of which we all broke out into the dance. A-freaking-mazing. I chaperoned the lock-in... sort of... til 5:30am :) I'm gonna miss those guys.
This weekend also saw Jayne's 21st birthday... HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! Mini-fiesta by the creek, sunrise at pretty place, lots of church, lasagna, LOTS of german chocolate cake... good times had by all. I have one amazing friend.
I finished with finals on Saturday (no more Koine Greek!!!), so this week I'm doing... NOTHING until baccalaureate on Friday and graduation on Saturday. Except packing. And finishing my applications. Oh, and learning the 10 minute monologue I have to do at baccalaureate. The really boring one. But I kinda have to do it - it's written by Karen Farrish Miller, who happens to be the District Superintendent of the UMC (read: Shelly Webb's boss), and since she's doing the sermon and asked me to read it... it's required of me. Oh, and I'm reading with Perla a lot this week because her class has EOGs and she's exempt. Today I went in and instead of reading we just played a bunch of games :)
I haven't even started thinking about the summer yet. Seriously. I'm thinking incredibly short term right now. Like... FOOD. I'm hungry. It's nearly lunchtime.
