Well friends, this is going to be a hard one to get over.
Saturday night we closed Footloose. I have sincerely mixed emotions. It's nice to have afternoons and evenings relatively free again, but it's been a year that we've worked on this show, and I've gotten to know the cast SO well. I miss them already. I don't know what I shall do without them.
They did SO well, and I am so very proud of them. Especially of Joseph Hall. Linda said, "I didn't see him as Ren, for a long time. But you and he both proved to me that he was it, and I can't imagine anyone else." That made me feel really good. I stood up for that one. And seeing him leave in 6 weeks is going to be pretty devestating. Those Halls, they raise good kids.
I briefly thought that maybe the "curse of the cats" as it will be known was in question (due to quotes from Jonathan Hiett: "I want to marry you and become a house husband" and "to marry you would be a dream come true"), but recent events have once again crushed those hopes. Ah well. What dreams may come.
